LeAnn Rimes is promoting her new single "What I Cannot Change" via a website, http://www.whaticannotchange.com/ where you can anonymously post messages about how the song has affected you in your life.
"I wanted to provide a place that people can get something off of their chest and be completely anonymous, if it be the worst thing they can possibly think of in the world that's happened to them and they just need to get it off of their chest, they need to tell someone, there's no one to talk to, you can remain anonymous." she says about the site and the project.
A hearty CONGRATULATIONS to all the American Olympians competing now in Beijing. Of course, a huge pat on the back for Michael Phelps, who swam for his 11th career gold medal last night, making him the most celebrated Olympian in history. For complete Olympic coverage, visit NBCOlympics.com. USA! USA! USA!
I want to note our support for the family of Emily and Charlie Robinson. As you may have read elsewhere, Emily and Charlie finalized their divorce earlier this week. They have three children. Emily, of course, is one member of the Dixie Chicks.
Also - a hearty congratulations to Jewel, who married long-time boyfriend Ty Murray in a private ceremony last night. The couple dated for 10 years and live together on a ranch in Texas.
Kenny Chesney and his team at BNA Nashville are prepping to release (probably the year's hottest single) a new song called "Everybody Wants To Go To Heaven." There's no news, period, other than Chesney is in Jamaica to film the video.
Taylor Swift has a new song called "Change" that will be featured during the Beijing Olympic Games. NBC likes the song so much, they are using it as a theme song for their coverage. Swift's publicist let me know that more details and the official announcement will come next week.
Congratulations to Miranda Lambert on her first career #1. Since I don't have a press release, I thought I would link to this article from Reuters/Billboard.
