Hey everyone! Dustin here, Managing Editor of Country On-Demand. I normally leave these blogs to Derrick, but I thought I'd let you know about a great event here in Nashville this week.

I had the opportunity to attend the Christmas 4 Kids concert at the Ryman Auditorium this past Monday. What a great night of great music!

Chris Young opened the show, followed by Rodney Atkins, Phil Vassar (in for Montgomery Gentry; please keep Troy Gentry's Mother in your thoughts anId prayers), Taylor Swift, and Charlie Daniels.

As you may have read in the breaking news e-mail we sent out that night, During Charlie's set, Martina McBride came on stage and invited Charlie to be a member of the Grand Ole Opry. "I can not even begin to tell you folks... this is very emotional for me," Daniels said.


Outside during Chris Young and Rodney Atkins' set, Taylor Swift took photos and signed autographs for every fan who waited in line for her. Rodney Atkins also signed autographs after his set.

Christmas 4 Kids celebrated its 25th Anniversary this year. It was started in 1982 by the legendary Conway Twitty. It is a 2-day event for to help create a joyous time for children in the Nashville community.

December 17th is a Tour Bus Show at Wal-Mart in Hendersonville, TN where artists show off their amazing tour buses that get them from city to city. Last year artists who showed off their buses included Jake Owen, Jason Meadows, Jeff Bates, Little Texas and Chris Young.

December 18th features a catered lunch for the kids (provided by superstar Garth Brooks) and a Wal-Mart shopping spree of $150 for each child. Proceeds from the concert, tour bus show donations, and general donations go towards the shopping spree.
