Lady Antebellum 'honored' to open for McBride
Martina McBride has named Lady Antebellum as the opening act for her "Waking Up Laughing Tour." The new Capitol Records Nashville trio, who is made up of Scott, Dave Haywoodand Charles Kelley will open, along with Jack Ingram, Martina McBride's nationwide arena tour beginning in Evansville, IN on January 18.
"I am so shocked and honored to saythat we are a part of this tour!!!! It's an amazing feeling and we areso humbled" said Lady Antebellum co-lead singer, Hillary Scott.
When Dave Haywood heard the news he remembers thinking "THE Martina McBride?!? There's no way! 'Independence Day' Martina??"
Lady Antebellum, who originally met through MySpace, released their self-penned debut single "Love Don't Live Here" earlier this month. The group's debut album is expected to be released in early 2008.
