Sugarland shows country off at AMAs
Country band Sugarland was the surprise hit at the American Music Awards when Beyonce joined them in a surprise bluegrass performance Sunday night.Sugarland's Jennifer Nettles said the idea came about from the duo's publicist because they perform the song in their act.
Nettles said backstage that she was nervous going note-for-note with Beyonce. "We were face to face, and there were a couple times when she was looking at me and I was blushing because I thought I was going to turn to stone in her beauty. She is so talented and so grounded."
Nettles' musical partner Kristian Bush, who was on stage and witnessed it all, stated, "I was the luckiest man."
