It's back to business for Billy Currington
After spending six months in therapy, Billy Currington says he "feels better than ever" and is ready to get back to the music.
Currington spent the second half of 2007 in a therapy center in Hawaii to treat and recover from mental abuse stemming from childhood abuse. Currington has said he was ill-treated by his step-father as a young child.
"My life was in an unhealthy place," Currington said. "I feel fortunate that I was in the right place to be able to take that short break and look at my inner self to begin a journey to fix what I felt was broken."
The singer's latest hit is "Good Directions." Perhaps his most famous song is his duet with singer Shania Twain.
Currington will continue to work on a new album, already in progress at the time he entered the rehabilitation clinic in Hawaii, and is set to go back on the road in May.
