Rascal Flatts joins CMT Awards, ask fans to 'bob head'
Three-time nominees Rascal Flatts have been added to the performance line-up of the 2008 CMT Music Awards. As part of their performance, the group is inviting fans to submit videos via CMT.com for their performance of the song "Bob That Head" off of their album Still Feels Good.
From today through April 7, fans are encouraged to upload 20-30 second clips of them "bobbing" their heads and singing along to the "Bob That Head" chorus. During the awards show performance, fan submitted videos will be shown on monitors behind the group.
"We have often said we have the best fans in the world," said Gary Levox of Rascal Flatts. "And now we will see just how creative they are. They have been the best part of our careers, it will be fun to include them into our performance. We can't wait!"
The CMT Music Awards will be hosted by Billy Ray and Miley Cyrus and air live on Monday, April 14, at 8PM EST. Carrie Undrewood, Taylor Swift, and others will perform. Fans can vote online at CMT.com.
