Tony Romo has compared his new girlfriend Jessica Simpson with his friend and supposed ex-girlfriend, Carrie Underwood, according to a source close to Dallas Cowboys quarterback. The Dallas Cowboys quarterback allegedly told the pop singer what he thought of her singing ability when compared to Underwood’s.

“[Tony] really hurt Jess’ feelings," the source tells On-Demand. "She tried to laugh it off in Hawaii, but she pouted whenever she heard Carrie’s songs play."

Simpson is currently recording her first country album and Romo thinks she will have trouble getting a large country fan base, saying that she would "have trouble winning over the country audiences" with her project.

The couple is rumored to be engaged.
