Keith Urban releases new single for DVD project
Keith Urban released an old song to radio as a new single this afternoon. "You Look Good In My Shirt," from his Golden Road album, is set to hit radio airwaves next week as a pre-cursor to the as-of-yet untitled "Love, Pain & the whole crazy World Tour" concert DVD release this fall. The single goes for adds June 2."Over the years it ('Shirt') has always played like a hit song," said Keith Urban. "That, combined with numerous requests from both fans and radio about why it was never a single, inspired us to get back into the studio and re-record the song."
The song was tapped to be released as the fifth single from Road, but those plans were scrapped when "Days Go By," the first single from the follow up CD Be Here was ready.
"The trick for this song was to bring all of the live energy to the new recording," added Urban. "I think that we accomplished that and I'm glad that we finally have the opportunity to give everyone what they've been asking for."
Urban is currently writing for a new CD to hit sometime in next year. He and wife Nicole Kidman are expecting their first child in July.

I LOVE this song in concert, but you'd think he could come up with something NEW to put on the DVD that was supposed to be out LAST DECEMBER!!! This song is from the Golden Road era....
What a great single! I'm glad Keith went back into the studio and recorded this rocking new version.
I agree Figaro. Keith's muse appears to be in hiding... I would love to hear some GOOD NEW music from him.
I LOVE this song but it seems strange to release this so long after the CD. I get that it's in promotion of the DVD and it's FANTASTIC live but this is just wierd. I think Faster Cars or Used To The Pain would have been great current releases.
I just can't get enough of this song! Great updated version with new band members - brings back amazing concert memories! Thanks Keith!!!!
Went to four LPATWC World Tour concerts and can't wait for the dvd!
