Toby is 'big dawg' of country money-makers
Forbes Magazine, known for their lists of wealthy Americans and celebrities, has published their list of the wealthiest country music stars of 2008. Toby Keith tops the list.
Keith, who took in $48 million of the last year, earned his money in non-conventional ways, according to Forbes. The magazine cites his musical earnings, endorsement deal with Ford Motor Company, Keith's "I Love This Bar And Grill" restaurant line, and his stake in the Show Dog Music Nashville label, which Keith founded.
At #2, Rascal Flatts ($40 million), earned most of their revenue from touring. Their "Still Feels Good" tour finished top 10 all genre. Tim McGraw (#3, $23 million) bests wife Faith Hill (#7, $12 million); both raked in the dough with their #1 tour "Soul2Soul 2007."
