Craig Morgan has a new record label and spent quite some time talking about it to the press Saturday night before taking the stage at the CMA Music Fest. Morgan says the label has really opened up and let him take control.

"I have much more creative freedom here at Sony/BMG," Morgan said. "This record is more Craig Morgan than any other record I've every done before. So if you don't like it, blame me."

The debut single from his album, expected in late September or early October, "Love Remembers," was released to radio recently. Morgan said the choice to release it was a joint decision.

"We wanted to do something we hadn't done before on the last few singles," he said. "We picked this one together. It wasn't just [the label.]"

Morgan also sent out a challenge to fellow singer Trace Adkins. "Y'all can tell him to join me [in a tour of the Persian Gulf] this December." The tour will bring Morgan home on Christmas Eve.

The singer was also asked about his fans' commitment to his career. He responded by saying "it blows my mind every time I step on stage. These people are taking vacation, spending their hard earned money..."
