Rimes to Star In Lifetime Film
LeAnn Rimes will have a new movie out in 2009 and it's her first starring role since her first movie, the 1997 made-for-TV Christmas film, "Holiday In Your Heart." This time, however, the film will be a Lifetime original movie and will be shown exclusively on the Lifetime network. Rimes plays the lead role in the movie, a young, single woman by the name of Meg Galloway who is a pilot in a small town in Alaska. The movie, a film version of the popular novel, "Northern Lights" by Nora Roberts, will begin filming around the middle of November in Calgary. In 2007 Rimes had a small role in the independent film, "Good Intentions," that has yet to premiere and there is currently no word on when the film should hit theaters. Rimes is no stranger the the big screen, in 2000 she had a cameo appearance in the flick "Coyote Ugly" and she also did all the singing in the movie for the lead role, Violet.
